Services Offered

A Registered Nurse is on duty 24 hours a day providing nursing care. We support older people with a range of disabilities whether they are Residential, Nursing or End of Life.

The Care team

You will be supported by a team of Registered Nurses who have a variety of skills and experience that can provide you with the most up to date and evidence based care. They are joined by a dedicated team of support workers and care assistants of whom the majority are trained to NVQ level 2.

Health Care

At Oakville Park we encourage the continued use of your own G.P. but can provide a service for you if required. We can access a variety of multidisciplinary services to meet your needs to include a dental, chiropody and optical services which are nursing home based.

Accommodation

We have single and shared en-suites available with a wealth of varied equipment to ensure your comfort and safety. Our bedrooms are all furnished and decorated to a high standard in keeping with the original features of the building. They are equipped with a 24hr nurse call system, television and most have a telephone point. We encourage you to personalise your room as you wish within the confines of health and safety.

Meals

We cater on an individual basis and can provide special diets to meet your needs. You can choose from our menu or request alternatives if you require. Hot and cold drinks are available at all times and your visitors will be offered complimentary drinks on arrival.

Social Facilities

There are a variety of activities for you to take part in if you wish. We provide an activities coordinator who perform group activities in one of our pleasant lounges or will provide individual support in the comfort of your own room. We also have exercise and singing groups. The hairdresser visits weekly. Regular outings accompanied by carers are arranged in a wheelchair accessible minibus. We encourage links with the community and have regular visits from the clergy. Your individual spiritual needs will be upheld and supported.

Local Facilities

Having the status of a spa town Harrogate has many features supporting its history. We are situated within walking distance of the Valley Gardens which attracts visitors all year round. Close to the town centre and Harlow Car Gardens there is access to Betty's tea rooms in both locations.
