What makes you different from other Homes?
We invest in both service users and staff by providing an environment that supports stability and consistency for all. We have a high percentage of staff with a long term employment history and all managers have an appropriate manager’s qualification and work hands on.Who pays for your service?
We admit people who are either self funded, funded by social services or continuing Health care. The type of funding will depend on individual circumstances and eligibility.Can I have at trial stay?
Yes, you are most welcome to a non contractual stay for an arranged period of time to ensure you have made the right choice of home.How do I arrange a stay?
You can contact our home on 01423 523939 and we will be happy to discuss your needs with you. You may visit us on site and view the home in person or one of your relatives/friends may do this on your behalf.If I become ill do I need to move to another home?
No. as we offer residential to end of life care there will be no requirement for you to transfer to another facility.Do I have a say in the care I receive?
Yes, we listen very carefully to your views and jointly develop a plan of care that is individual to you.Do I keep my own GP?
You are encouraged to retain your own GP. However we can arrange a GP service for you should you be admitted from outside the Harrogate area.Are the Care Assistants trained?
All our carer’s are given a comprehensive and mentored induction at the start of their employment. Most of our care staff holds a National Vocational Qualification and all staff are updated on a regular basis.Are there any restrictions on family/friends visits?
Visitors are welcome anytime and we do not have “visiting hours”. They may call to see you as often as you wish.Can I bring my own furniture?
You are encouraged to personalise your room with your own belongings and you are welcome to make your accommodation home from home.How do I make a complaint?
If you are not happy we would like to know. Please raise your concerns with us and we will try very hard to rectify the situation. We will deal with your complaint speedily, in confidence, and in line with CQC guidelines.
